Cherwell College Now Offering Duke of Edinburgh's Award
26th August 2019
From August 2019, Cherwell College Oxford students will have the opportunity to take part in the renowned Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) Award scheme.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is an internationally recognised youth achievement award with almost half a million participants worldwide. Aimed to promote young people's all-round development outside of the classroom environment, the Award consists of four sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Expedition, with an additional Residential section at the Gold level.
As a licensed DofE centre, Cherwell College Oxford will be offering the following award schemes for the 2019-2020 academic year:
- Bronze Award (6 months) for Cherwell students aged 14 & 15 y.o;
- Gold Award (12 months) for Cherwell students aged 16+
The DofE Award is an invaluable opportunity for students to gain real-world experience whilst improving their CVs and gaining formal accreditation for their achievements. We are excited to be able to offer students this opportunity in addition to our regular enrichment activities, and look forward to seeing them participate!
