Zohra Fatima-Jenkinson, Maths & Geography

Zohra Fatima-Jenkinson is an esteemed Maths and Geography tutor at Cherwell College Oxford. Originally from Hyderabad, India, Zohra completed her undergraduate studies at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. She later pursued her DPhil in Geography at Oriel College, University of Oxford, followed by a PGCE in Geography at Wolfson College, University of Oxford.
Zohra is a highly empathetic and experienced tutor who is well-liked by her students. She adopts an individual approach to each learner and has substantial experience teaching students of all levels, including those with special educational needs or under an EHCP.
Beyond academia, Zohra is a passionate advocate for social causes and served as Chairman of Oxfordshire Women’s Aid, a domestic violence charity, which she led for ten years.
Zohra is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Bengali, and can also read and write in Sanskrit and Koranic Arabic. She maintains that Oxford is a wonderful place to live and study, with its beautiful libraries and museums. Her message to aspiring international students is to research their chosen college carefully—and, perhaps most importantly, to learn how to cook! (Zohra occasionally runs an Indian cooking club at school for our Sixth Form students.)
