A Brief Look Ahead
TONY SHERWOOD AND CHRISTOPHER MULCAHY
After this half term we are planning to harness up at Clip and Climb - an indoor climbing centre designed to increase confidence and self-esteem in physical prowess and mental strength, with the bravest given the opportunity to complete a simulated parachute drop. Next in line is a classic British country pursuit - clay pigeon shooting - this activity will be for half a day starting with instruction and lessons, followed by fun competition. As winter draws closer, we will then be heading back indoors to a trampoline park boasting over fifty trampolines, rebound challenge beams, freestyle area and a cornucopia of acrobatic challenges. Our itinerary will finish with a trip to another beautiful and inspiring city, Bath, to take in all the festivities of the Christmas market, and explore the world-renowned ancient Roman Baths.
Looking even further ahead, Hilary and Trinity Terms will see white water rafting at the Olympic Centre, a high ropes course, tours of the Williams F1 Centre, visits to Wimbledon, Twickenham and Wembley, and a guided tour of the BMW Mini Plant, attending plays in classic theatres and outdoors in idyllic locations, a theme park visit, the Horse of The Year Show, a professionally coached bush craft day– culminating in sleeping under the stars in overnight, a spa day, a canal cruiser day, skiing , the Festival of Enterprise, wake boarding, and the Advanced Engineering Show.
Although extensive, this list is not exhaustive and we are always open to any realistic ideas offered up by students and parents alike.
