WHAT WE OFFER

FULL-TIME A-LEVEL & (I)GCSE

The College follows the Oxbridge-style tutorial method of teaching, where students enjoy one-to-one tutorials, supported by small group seminars – this is seen by many as the gold standard of UK education as students are able to have their unique needs met and engage deeply with their tutors and subject material.

The format of tuition is discussed at the interview stage and determined by the subject syllabus and the specific needs of each individual student.

A-LEVEL PROGRAMME (2 YEARS)

Intended for students aged 16 years of age. Younger applicants i.e. aged 15 y.o. may be considered if they can show the required level of academic ability to cope with the demands of the chosen programme.

A-Level is aimed for students who have completed GCSEs (or equivalent) and are seeking entry to higher education in the UK or internationally.

Students normally focus on 3 subjects, which are closely related to the field of study they wish to pursue at a university level.

A-Levels are usually completed over a course of 2 academic years i.e. 6 terms.

The main intake happens in September and January, however, due to the nature of the institution (where lessons are delivered on a one-to-one basis: tutor-student), it is possible to join at any point in the academic year, subject to availability of places.

GCSE PROGRAMME (2 YEARS)

Intended for students aged 14 y.o. Younger applicants i.e. aged 13 y.o. may be considered if they are able to cope with the demands of the chosen programme.

GCSE stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education and is aimed for students who have completed their primary education in the UK (or their country of residence).

It is an important stepping stone which marks the end of compulsory education and opens a route to either pursue further education (A-Level) or vocational studies.

Students focus on 5 to 9 subjects, the compulsory subjects are Maths and English, the rest are chosen depending on student’s academic interests and abilities.

Usually completed over a course of 2 academic years i.e. 6 terms.

The main intake happens in September and January, however, due to the nature of the institution (where lessons are delivered on a one-to-one basis: tutor-student), it is possible to join at any point in the academic year, subject to availability of places.

HOW WE TEACH

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We strongly support and believe in the unique development of each individual, and strive to ensure that all of our students achieve their fullest potential by providing a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, discipline and ability to think independently.

Subject range

Students are offered a wide range of subjects, depending on their academic interests and career aspirations.

As a general rule, GCSE students take between 5 to 9 subjects with Maths & English being compulsory at GCSE level. Whereas, A-Level students study towards 3 subjects only, depending on their academic interests and career aspirations. In addition to 3 A-Level subjects, some students also opt in for an Extended Project Qualification (a mini research project) to boost their academic profile when it comes to applying to universities.

Here is a full list of subjects offered, depending on which category of discipline they belong to.

Please note, that students can select subjects from a range of disciplines and not be confined to one.

You can read more on subject selection in our FAQs section.
