A talk on making better decisions in risky situations
28th April 2018
Thank you to the team at the Maths Institute for a brilliant exhibition including a great talk on statistics and how to make better decisions in risky situations.
In addition to the talk students were able to spend time in the main hall discovering more about History of Maths
During this well-organised exhibition students were able to learn a lot of interesting facts, for example, did you know that the British nurse and social reformer, Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) played an important role in developing statistical methods to analyse the mortality and medical data she collected while nursing during the Crimean War?
