Does the College provide extra support for Oxbridge candidates?

If you are applying for either Oxford or Cambridge we provide a wide range of support and guidance, beginning with the main UCAS application (personal statement, reference, and help with the general completion of the form). We also provide you with guidance and support in choosing a college and completing the additional administration required by each college.

Perhaps the biggest difference that separates Oxford and Cambridge from so many of the other universities is the importance they both place on performance at interview. In addition, now, in a number of subjects there are standardised tests, and there is also a requirement to submit examples of essays and other academic work.

Cherwell assists with all aspects of the application process from mock interviews to preparation for the standardised tests. Preparation is challenging, but also stimulating and will develop you further. Oxford and Cambridge expect the highest standards and they also expect each student to be an individual. As with all support offered by the College, we aim to help you make the most of your talents and interests.
